A feeling of not being enough has been frustrating me.
I must do this...something. And I must be great in order try to match greatness.
I don't want to feel awkward in the presence of what I percieve to be GREAT.
You might think it's silly to think that way. You might say: "I love you just the way you are", like that song.
But to think; "If I'm not good enough well then whatever", would be extremely naieve, arrogant, narrow minded.
And that other quote; "She did the best she knew how to", is a cop out, period.
The dashing Mr. Darcy said; "I shall conquer this!", when he knew he needed to evolve.
Agreed Darcy!
I shall conquer this.
